Job Description
For a Leading Media Company
-Develops finance organizational strategies by contributing financial and accounting information, analysis, and recommendations to strategic thinking and direction; establishing functional objectives in line with organizational objectives.
-Identifying opportunities for improvement, cost reduction, and systems enhancement; accumulating capital to fund expansion.
-Monitors financial performance by measuring and analyzing results; initiating corrective actions minimizing the impact of variances.
-Maximizes return on invested funds by identifying investment opportunities; maintaining relationships with the investment community.
-Reports financial status by developing forecasts; reporting results; analyzing variances; developing improvements.
-Accomplishes finance and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
-Drive the company's financial planning
-Perform risk management by analyzing the organization's liabilities and investments
-Decide on investment strategies by considering cash and liquidity risks
-Control and evaluate the organization's fundraising plans and capital structure
-Ensure cash flow is appropriate for the organization's operations
-Manage vendor relationships
-Prepare reliable current and forecasting reports
-Set up and oversee the company's finance IT system
-Ensure compliance with the law and company's policies
-Manage team of financial controllers and financial analysts.
-Monthly and quarterly financial reporting to management
-Managing statutory and internal audits, IRDA Audits, tax audits, any other audit as per requirement etc
-Formulation and implementation of Accounting policies and procedures.
Desired Skills and Experience
A qualified CA with 15+ years of experience in Finance Controllership managing large teams in a challenging business environment with the scalability to be the next CFO in line
