About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Finance Controller with expertise in prepaid cards/PPI to lead both accounting and reconciliation functions. The role focuses on ensuring financial accuracy, regulatory compliance, and end-to-end integrity of financial flows across card programmes. The ideal candidate brings strong knowledge of PPI structures, including accounting, float/escrow management, and transaction reconciliation, and will partner with cross- functional teams to drive controls, resolve exceptions, and build scalable, automated finance processes.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage end-to-end accounting and reconciliation operations across prepaid card and PPI business, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and control.
• Oversee month-end closures, financial reporting, and MIS while maintaining audit- ready books in line with Ind Gaap and regulatory requirements.
• Own reconciliation of transactions, settlements, escrow/nodal accounts, and card programme flows across internal systems, banks, and networks.
• Monitor and resolve reconciliation breaks, exceptions, and variances with strong root- cause analysis and cross-functional collaboration.
• Ensure compliance with RBI PPI guidelines, statutory filings (GST, TDS, etc.), and support internal/external audits with proper documentation.
• Drive automation, process standardisation, and system improvements across accounting and reconciliation functions.
• Partner with Operations, Technology, and Compliance teams to strengthen financial controls and ensure seamless financial operations.
• Lead and mentor finance teams, ensuring strong governance, performance management, and continuous process improvement.
What We’re Looking For
• 8-12 years of experience across accounting and reconciliation within fintech/payments, with strong exposure to prepaid cards/PPI environments.
• Hands-on expertise in PPI financial operations including float/escrow management, card programme accounting, and transaction-level reconciliation (settlements, networks, processors).
• Proven experience managing audits, regulatory filings, and working within RBI-regulated frameworks, with strong knowledge of Ind Gaap standards.
• Demonstrated ability to design and scale reconciliation frameworks, resolve high-volume exceptions, and ensure financial control across large transaction datasets.
• Strong analytical, detail-oriented, and data-driven mindset with proficiency in ERP systems (Tally), advanced Excel, and other Financial tools.
• Chartered Accountant (preferred) or MBA/M.Com with relevant experience; strong leadership, stakeholder management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
