Job Description
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Monitor key financial metrics and provide insights on financial performance to support decision-making.
- Conduct variance analysis and identify areas for cost optimization and revenue enhancement.
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, laws, and regulations.
2. Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Collaborate with department heads to develop annual budgets and forecasts.
- Track actual performance against budgets and provide regular reports on budget variances.
- Identify areas of improvement and recommend budget reallocations or cost-saving measures.
- Support the management team in long-term financial planning and strategic initiatives.
3. Financial Operations:
- Manage day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities.
- Oversee the invoicing process, ensuring accuracy and timely collection of payments.
- Maintain strong relationships with banks, auditors, and other external stakeholders.
- Monitor cash flow and manage working capital to optimize liquidity.
4. Compliance and Audit:
- Ensure compliance with local tax regulations and manage tax filings.
- Support internal and external audits, including preparation of audit schedules and addressing audit queries.
- Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Stay updated on changes in financial regulations and ensure timely adherence.
5. Financial Systems and Process Improvement:
- Utilize financial systems and tools effectively to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.
- Identify process gaps and recommend improvements to enhance financial operations.
- Contribute to the implementation and enhancement of financial software systems.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. Professional certifications such as CA, CMA, or CPA are highly preferred.
- Proven experience (1 year) in finance or accounting roles, preferably in a corporate environment.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and taxation regulations in India.
- Proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting techniques.
- Experience in using financial software systems and advanced proficiency in MS Excel.
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Knowledge of ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, TCS) is a plus.
