Role Overview
The Cinnamon Kitchen is looking for a Finance Lead to take ownership of the finance function in a high-growth consumer business environment. We are looking for someone who ideally brings experience from startup or emerging consumer brands, understands fast-paced business decision-making, and can build finance systems that support scale.
What You’ll Do
As an early finance hire, you'll step into a Deputy CFO-like role and take full ownership of the finance function. You will build and implement processes and controls to prevent value leakage, and manage monthly closings, MIS reporting, and internal financial hygiene. Working closely with the CEO and founding team, you'll play a strategic role in driving growth and profitability through financial insights, pricing strategies, and data-driven decision-making. This role offers end-to-end exposure across business finance, FP&A, working capital management, accounts receivable/payable, vendor negotiations, compliance, budgeting, and fund flow management—giving you a 360° view of finance in a high-growth startup.
What We’re Looking For
CA qualification is mandatory 2+ years of experience in finance; startup or high-growth environment strongly preferred Experience in consumer brands, D2C, food, FMCG, or startup ecosystems will be an advantage Excellent analytical skills and a solid grip on Excel and financial modeling High ownership mindset with the ability to independently build processes from the ground up Agile, curious, and open to learning—especially in a fast-moving, dynamic startup environment Comfortable navigating ambiguity and taking initiative in unstructured situations Strong in communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management A team player with the ability to lead through empathy, clarity, and accountability
