Job Description
• It is a private equity and venture capital firm specializing in later stage, management buy-outs or buy-ins, co-investments, public equity, PIPEs, growth capital in private and listed companies, and special situations including carve outs, joint ventures.
• Aum- $4 billion, 80+ investments , 65+ exits.
Ideal candidate:
• Chartered Accountant with 7 - 10 years of experience ( Candidates from Big4's having Statutory audit experience for AIF/ PE will also be preferred)
• 2-3 years experience in Category II AIF finance and operations team of a private equity fund
• Strong knowledge of AIF regulations, tax regulations, accounting standards, Trust, company and LLP laws
• Should be numerate and have a high level of financial acumen
• Excellent analytical skills
• Strong achievement orientation and self motivation; ability to take ownership and deliver independently
• Ability to deliver high quality in a competitive and dynamic environment, while working within tight timelines
• Excellent oral and written communications skills.
• Possess adaptability to work effectively and get along with both peers and senior executives in a highly entrepreneurial, team oriented environment
Roles and Responsibilities:
• Managing the operations and general accounting function, completion of ledger accounts and financial statements of private equity fund/AIF/GIFT AIF.
• Ensure the compliance/documentation requirement for all laws like AIF, Companies Act, Income Tax Act, GST, labour laws.
• Treasury function, forecasting cash requirements and managing liquid investments.
• Provides financial projections by coordinating budget/forecast preparation; collecting, analyzing, and consolidating financial information; advising departments on the collection and analysis of data.
• Monthly Management Report (MIS) including Cash Flow, Annual budget process and periodic analysis of financial performance.
• Coordinating with bankers and external consultants.
• Liaise with investments team, legal team, investor relations team and portfolio companies
• Control various expenses and income streams, assets, and liabilities of different entities of PE, review and oversee all capital calls, distributions, management fee calculations, and water fall allocations
• Track fund level, investor level returns though financial model
• Lead periodic compliance/ regulatory/ financial audits on PE entities
• Should be hands on with fund structures/ jurisdictions/ investment structures
• Assist in various technology, data and process improvement initiatives projects
• Evaluates and makes appropriate improvements to internal accounting processes ensuring that practices are in line with the overall goals of the organization
