Finance Manager

Full job description

We are seeking a highly motivated producer to join our robust finance team. The ideal candidate will be a skilled accountant (with supporting credentials) who can communicate effectively at all organizational levels, including C-level executives. The ideal candidate will also be a leader who leads by example and collaborates effectively with multiple teams.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

- Train, coach, and mentor accounting staff on an ongoing basis.

- Evaluate, develop, and improve departmental controls, systems, and procedures to enhance accuracy and efficiency.

- Manage the daily operations of the accounting department, ensuring that all projects, as well as month-end and year-end reports, are completed accurately and on time.

- Ensure all accounting processes comply with current GAAP and other state and federal financial regulations.

- Manage various accounting platforms through the Trial Balance while supervising and delegating tasks within the department.

- Implement ongoing improvements to systems and procedures to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and performance.

Credentials - Skills

- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. A CPA certification is preferred.

- Over 4 years of progressive experience in an accounting/professional environment.

- Strong foundation in accounting theory and general management principles.

- Proficiency in computer applications, such as QuickBooks Online and MS Office.

- Experience in supporting the month-end and year-end closing processes.

- Experience with banking and year-end financial audit requirements.

- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
