Job Description
Purpose of Job
To be responsible for all accounting and finance duties across all legal entities within the Australia region in full compliance with statutory regulations and internal processes.
Key Responsibilities
Include, but are not limited to:
Producing and completing the monthly management accounts and supporting documentation within set deadlines
Preparation of Monthly account reconciliations for Driven Brands
Ensuring all external (legal and tax) and internal (reporting and controlling) requirements are met within the appropriate timescales
Liaising with local auditors, Tax Agent and regulatory body’s for successful and timely audit completion
Attending audit meetings where appropriate
Completing annual statutory reporting within set deadlines
Ensuring full compliance with all statutory regulations and Australian Accounting Standards as set by the AASB
Maintaining the fixed asset register
Maintaining accrual and prepayment schedules
Banking reconciliations and transaction postings. Posting of all month end journals
Providing insightful analysis of the region’s accounts
Daily Payments and Direct Debits
Maintaining Daily, weekly & monthly cash reports
Providing treasury support as appropriate
Supporting Group HR Department in relation to monitoring monthly & annual payroll
Supporting the Managing Director, Australia and the Finance Director, Rest of CWI with compiling and completing budgeting and forecasting processes
Preparation of the year-end financial consolidation packs
Supporting the Managing Director, Australia with expense and cost control reviews
Supporting the Finance Director, Rest of CWI and the Group Accounting team with analysis and presentation of finance data
Responding to adhoc accounting and financial information, reporting and analysis requests from Group Accounting, the central FP&A team and parent undertakings
Supporting the Managing Director, Australia with various financial and commercial business decisions, as well as providing value-add and accounting/financial best advice support as required
Supporting the Managing Director, Australia and the Finance Director, Rest of CWI to drive the improvement in current processes with the aim of improving quality and timeliness of reporting
People Management responsibility for the Office Manager and Accounts Assistant
Other tasks as required.
Skills and Experience
Several years’ experience in a Finance Manager role in a comparable environment is essential
Experience working with monthly management accounts is essential
Experience in multi-cultural organisation beneficial
Extensive knowledge of accounting, tax and social insurance regulations and requirements in France is essential
Some experience of a multi-site business that is customer facing would be an advantage but is not essential.
