Due to their double digit continued growth a new role has been created for a Finance Manager to partner closely with the senior finance leadership team.



ABOUT THE ROLE:

Reporting to an entrepreneurial and highly influential AU Financial Controller, this Finance Manager will support the delivery of major finance objectives as the organisation aims to continue its aggressive growth journey. Working closely with an impressive leadership team, which includes the Group Financial Controller and CFO, you will be instrumental in working cross functionally with the business. This role will be critical in ensuring the company employs robust operational, budgeting, forecasting and reporting processes and delivers accurate and comprehensive reports and analysis to internal and external stakeholders.

This is a critical role to assist in driving the business through its aggressive hyper-growth ‘expansion phase’ whilst implementing best practice processes and procedures throughout the finance function. You will act as the “confidant” and “right hand person” to the AU Financial Controller.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Finance Manager will work closely with the AU Financial Controller to support and develop a best-in-class Finance function. You will lead a team of 3/4 and support the delivery of major Finance objectives.



Your key responsibilities in this role include:

Lead and manage a team of up to 4;
Ownership and management of month-end closure procedures;
Management of monthly business reporting;
Lead and manage audit including liaising with external audit firm;
Support preparation of budgets and variance analysis;
Support in cash management and funding requirements of the business including monthly cash flow forecast;
First level review of work prepared by your team including review of the monthly profit and loss, balance sheet recs, statutory accounts and ensuring compliance with month end and quarter end sign off;
Establishment of accounting principles, practices, policies and procedures;
Act as a finance lead to the leadership team who will seek your support and guidance on preparing key insights and analysis for key business decision-making;
Provide financial advice and support to key business leaders to effectively and efficiently manage business operations and performance;
Hands on with policy and process creation of a growing business.


SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

The ideal candidate will be CA/CPA qualified and has proven experience in leading highly engaged teams. They will have a strong understanding of coordinating month-end close yet be able to demonstrate strong commercial acumen in everything they do. The candidate will be highly influential and create a positive working environment. The ideal candidate is confident engaging in discussions with key stakeholders with the ability to build effective working relationships.

Commercial finance acumen with a proven track record of actively driving commercial agendas across the business;
Affinity with business systems and financial processes - experience with ERP systems such as SAP will be advantageous although not essential.
Strong analytical skills and ability to translate data and identify risks and opportunities;
Highly developed written & verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively manage a wide range of key stakeholders;
Pro-active and customer focused mind set;
Superior stakeholder management, including advanced influencing and negotiation skills.
