Finance Officer – Accounts Receivable

Join a purpose-driven organisation committed to making real change in the lives of people with spinal cord injuries and neurological conditions. Spinal Life Australia is looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Finance Officer – Accounts Receivable to join our dynamic Finance team.
In this key role, you’ll be responsible for managing the accounts receivable function, helping to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting that directly supports our organisational sustainability and growth. This opportunity is a full time, fixed term contract (22nd September 2026 - 30th June 2026)
We are looking for someone to:
Prepare and issue accurate invoices and credit notes using Technology One Financials
Manage incoming payments and apply correct banking procedures
Produce debtor statements and follow up on overdue accounts monthly
Examine accounts and determine the best course of action for the customer and the business
Contact clients and discuss their overdue payments.
Ensure reconciliation of the AR ledger and general ledger prior to month-end
Assist with internal and external audits related to accounts receivable
Apply correct GST treatment and support BAS generation
Identify and contribute to continuous improvement in AR processes
What is needed to be successful?
Minimum 3 years’ experience in an accounts receivable or similar finance role
High level of attention to detail and data accuracy
Strong communication skills and professional conduct when liaising with clients
Working knowledge of GST and its impact on receivables
Experience using Technology One Financials (highly desirable)
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
Previous experience in a quality-focused or compliance-driven environment is a plus
