To help us with this, we are searching for a Finance Reporting and Insights Manager to join our Finance Team, based at Head Office in Invercargill.
Success in the role will be achieved through the preparation of trusted forecast and budget financial information for decision makers while also ensuring statutory and regulatory reporting is accurately prepared, understood and complies with all external requirements.
What you'll be busy with:
Leading a small team and building a high-trust, collaborative and engaged culture across branches and departments, promoting shared teamwork and understanding across the SBS group.
Responsible for the annual budget cycle, regular forecasting and scenario planning, ensuring all levers are understood by business teams.
Producing profitability analysis relating to our products, businesses and investments to ensure deployed capital is achieving expected returns.
Identifying opportunities for revenue growth, cost management and support improved margin across the business through in-depth analysis.
Responsible for the preparation of the Bank’s Disclosure Statement and financial prudential reporting, liaising with subsidiary company management and accounting teams to ensure coordination of external group reporting.
Researching and implementing opportunities to ensure systems, tools and processes are continuously uplifted to optimize available resources.
What you'll bring:
Essential to this role
10+ years within a finance team including leadership and engagement with senior stakeholders
Strong accounting skills, systems skills and experience with commercial decision making
A desire to gel with our values, Do What's Right, We're With You, One Team and Own It
Preferably experience in the finance team of a bank or regulated financial services entity and experience delivering transformation within a mid-size finance function
This role is full-time, 37.5 hours a week, worked 8.30am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.
