Job Description
The Finance Reporting Analyst is an entry level position responsible for assisting in the generation, analysis, and submission of financial reports, in coordination with the broader Financial Reporting Team.
The role is required as part of the ongoing consolidation of the Global Pension team in the new PBO model to be managed from Mumbai centrally including the reconciliation back to source systems and all management reporting thereon.
Operational accounting of accrual and reporting of compensation lines for all regions
Review and Analysis to be performed for all the lines of Compensation Accounting across all ICG Business for all region viz Actuals vs Prior Month Actuals / Projected Actuals / Outlook.
To be able to effectively discuss the process changes with compensation controllers, communicate and implement the changes
Accountable for ensuring that controls and processes are in place to enable the accurate accounting and management information reporting.
Work with actuaries Willis Tower Watson.
Ensuring the risk and control framework in Citi is fully implemented for this process
Management and ownership of monthly, quarterly and annual closing activities
Key Deliverables:
Operational accounting and reporting of compensation lines for all regions
Performs monthly, quarterly and yearly variance analysis
Investigation and resolution of ledger variances
Expense recognition/accrual entries
Qualifications -
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance with experience in similar Accounting/Finance related position. CA/MBA/CPA preferred
Experience:
2 + years’ experience in General Ledger Accounting
Relevant Experience with Compensation Accounting preferred
Experience with monthly ledger variance analysis
Experience with client facing consulting engagements
