• What you'll do:
As a Finance Stress Test Associate, you’ll assist with the regular operation of business-wide data platform ReMaP. You’ll contribute to the regular production of client-based and product-based sensitivity analysis to assist business decision making.
We’ll look to you to support baseline and live management of plans to manage and track internal stress test and regulatory stress test deliverables, such as ICAAP, Bank of England and European Banking Authority stress tests.
Day-to-day, you’ll be:
- Liaising with local technology teams on system developments and making sure the systems are maintained for the execution of on-demand stress tests
- Providing quality assurance reviews of evidence controls checks throughout the full lifecycle of a stress test exercise
- Managing control checks throughout key points in the stress test cycle, controlling supporting documentation with emphasis on auditable evidence and management of issue logs
- Assisting with finance controls, SOX and stress testing the MI dashboard
- Working in close collaboration with internal audit, designing and embedding a process structure for audit field work and regulatory attestations
• The skills you'll need:
To excel in this role, you’ll need a qualification in a quantitative discipline, such as a BSc, MSc or PhD in Mathematics, Physics or Engineering. You'll also need both a background and Master's degree in Economics.
You’ll also need an understanding of data handling and analysis experience, including Python. We'll also expect you to have experience in BASEL, CCAR, DFAST or ICAAP regulatory reporting, stress testing or credit risk.
In addition, you should demonstrate:
- A good proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel
- Proficiency in IT with a good working knowledge of C++, Python, Matlab, SQL, or VBA
- The ability to prototype ideas
- A proactive approach and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
