Job Description
As the Consumer and Community Banking (CCB) Transformation Product Owner, you will lead the development of a unified search tool to mine historical business reports for metrics commentary & completed analysis in the CCB Finance organization. You will partner with senior leaders and stakeholders across the CCB Finance Organization and key business partners to understand their needs and make commentary and completed analyses discoverable and available for analytical and reporting needs. You will be responsible for driving the delivery of the various phases of the transformation product starting with Discovery, followed by Design, Development and the Product while updating senior management on a regular basis. As a Product Owner, you will lead cross functional teams (technology, solution architects, design, third party vendors etc.,) and product employees using Agile principles and methodologies. You will require a deep understanding of the finance organization, processes, metrics, data, and strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with stakeholders and ensure alignment with the organization's objectives.
Job Responsibilities:
As part of the CCB's Transformation initiative - Mining Historical Reports product, the Product Owner will partner with Finance stakeholders (in Planning and Analysis, Controllers & Business Management), Technology, Design, and third-party vendors to define and deliver the product development efforts
Build a product vision, roadmap, and prioritization to deliver the key objectives by understanding in depth the needs of the Business
Lead the strategic development and end-to-end management across the full product lifecycle including research, ideation, prototype, test, build, adopt, and measure in partnership with users, stakeholders, Design, Technology, and Vendors
Develop clear documentation of the scope, requirements, use cases, workflows, wireframes, and other materials as needed to support user experience research, design, and development
Collaborate and build credibility-based relationships with a diverse set of internal stakeholders and senior leadership to understand and address challenges promptly, and with precision, while ensuring that teams are empowered to execute and deliver with quality
Demonstrate resiliency in your leadership style by owning complex and ambiguous situations and overcoming obstacles as you perform roadmap execution
Required Qualifications, Skills and Capabilities:
A tenured Vice President with 15+ years of experience with a strong track record of delivering projects in data, analytics and financial systems with a focus on retail banking or financial services industry
Strong client experience with the ability to influence product alignment with senior management
Ability to make decisions, take accountability for those decisions while candidly challenging the status quo to enable the right customer journey outcomes. Ability to work with diverse views and take decisions to move the work forward
Passion for technology and knowledge of technology trends and its application
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to present facts, thoughts, and ideas in a clear, concise, and convincing manner to senior leaders, key stakeholders, employees and third-party vendors
Experience in building and leading teams. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative, and cross-functional environment
Experience working in Agile/scrum teams preferred
