Financial Accountant Career

Financial Accountant Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled financial accountant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing cash transactions, allocating capital, and preparing financial reports in accordance with IFRS and US GAAP. This includes daily oversight of bank accounts, management of intercompany bill-backs and accounts payable processes, preparation of contribution and distribution calculations, and uploading statements to Juniper Square.

As a financial accountant, you will work closely with the senior investment accountant to prepare tables and charts, roll-forward prior year-end financials, and prepare current audited financial statements. You will also assist with audit management, including the oversight of day-to-day processes from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities:

• Cash Management: Assist with the management of day-to-day cash transactions, including daily oversight of bank accounts and management of intercompany bill-backs and accounts payable processes.

• Capital Transactions: Assist with the allocation and documentation process for capital transactions between funds/ventures and investors.

• Financial Reporting: Prepare financial reports in accordance with IFRS and US GAAP, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financials.

• Audit: Assist with audit management, including the oversight of day-to-day processes from start to finish.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting

• 2+ years of directly related experience

• Demonstrated proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet (MS Excel), property management (Yardi), and database management programs
