Financial Accountant – Clarke Energy (Knowsley HQ)
Are you a qualified Financial Accountant with a sharp eye for detail and a drive to improve financial processes?
Clarke Energy is looking for a proactive finance professional to join our team at our Knowsley headquarters. You’ll play a pivotal role in managing financial controls, cashflow, and regulatory compliance – helping us power the future of sustainable energy.

What You’ll Do
As a Financial Accountant, you’ll lead transactional finance operations and support strategic reporting. Your day-to-day will include:
Managing payment processes and forecasting cashflow
Reviewing team outputs to ensure accuracy and timeliness
Guiding and developing team members in daily operations
Enhancing financial controls and identifying process improvements
Preparing VAT returns and ensuring HMRC compliance
Owning key finance projects and reporting packs
Producing monthly reports and supporting audits
Reviewing balance sheets, fixed assets, and expense records
Supporting treasury functions, FX deals, and intercompany funding
Collaborating across departments to drive efficiency
What We’re Looking For
Essential Skills & Experience:
ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified
Strong grasp of accounting principles and financial reporting
Experience in a fast-paced corporate finance environment
Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with ERP systems (Navision 4PS a plus)
