Financial Accountant!

Public Sector People are working with a local council in their search for a Financial Accountant on a long-term contract.

In this role, you will be part of a customer focused team that supports the organisation by ensuring that Council's financial, investment and fixed asset records are accurately recorded and efficiently managed. This will ensure that the financial and statutory reporting obligations of council are met in accordance with appropriate deadlines and legislation.

For This Role You Must Have

CPA Australia or ICA in Australia membership

Experience in local government or state government is preferred

Good knowledge of Fringe Benefits tax Legislation

Experience working in an accounting or external audit environment, preparing financial statements and including experience in the application of accounting standards
