Job Description
This firm oversees approximately $350M in assets and supports nearly 700 families, providing holistic wealth management and retirement planning services. The organization is known for its client-first philosophy, relationship-driven culture, and long-term stability.
This is primarily a client service and planning-focused role (non-hunting) within a team-based “pod” structure. You will serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, delivering comprehensive financial planning and ongoing relationship management.
Key Responsibilities
• Serve as the primary advisor for assigned client relationships
• Prepare comprehensive financial and retirement income plans
• Develop and track retirement strategies
• Conduct portfolio analysis and asset allocation reviews
• Utilize tax planning software for strategy modeling
• Analyze annuity, life insurance, and long-term care illustrations
• Prepare and review financial planning reports
• Conduct regular client reviews and proactive check-ins
• Identify cross-sell and additional asset opportunities within existing relationships
• Collaborate closely with Lead Advisors and internal team members
Required Qualifications
• 3+ years of experience working directly with clients as a Financial Planner
• Series 65 or Series 66 license (Required)
• Bachelor’s degree (Required)
• Strong Microsoft Excel proficiency
• High attention to detail and strong analytical skills
• Ability to manage multiple client cases simultaneously
• Must be able to relocate to or already reside near Buffalo Grove, IL
Preferred Qualifications
• CFP® designation strongly preferred
• CFP required within 2 years of hire if not already obtained
• Life Insurance license preferred (required within 6 months of hire if not currently licensed)
