Job Description
As the Financial Analysis professional in our Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB), you will be responsible for:
(a) CIB Comprehensive Capital Analysis and Review (CCAR) P&L and Balance Sheet submissions ; (b) Ensuring financial integrity of the results ; (c) Review Model outputs for businesses and scenario intuition and make modifications as necessary; (d) Explain the results and drivers to the line of business Chief Financial Officer, Chief Risk officer and Corporate finance teams (e) Lead Bank and IHC Legal Entity P&A responsibilities (f) Support the preparation, review and submission of the CCAR FR Y-14M and FR Y-14Q reporting to the FRB; (g) Goodwill impairment testing for CIB
Job responsibilities:
Entire CIB CCAR/DFAST and Risk Appetite process which includes managing CCAR Revenue Consolidation, Expenses Calculation, Consolidation of CCAR financials for CIB to create the PnL view for the internal analysis, Lead Bank P&L modelling and execution, and CIB senior management reviews
Macro Economic Variable (MEVs) analysis for the current cycle vs the prior cycle and to understand its impact on the LOBs projections
Managing the FRY - 14A PLBS schedule based on the Firmwide CCAR requirement and submission of the same in the neutron system
Performing the Variance Analysis, PQ0 - PQ1 analysis and providing the answers to the CCST questions post the corporate submission. Modelling Financial projections using statistical and quantitative tools like regressions and correlation analysis
Review and Challenge Model outputs for businesses and economic scenario intuition as well as consistency against budget. Supporting the preparation the CIB CFO review presentation, CIB Risk Appetite presentation, CIB RC presentations
Play an active role in CCAR governance and documentation requirements. P&L Projections at Lead Bank Entity level including the logic of building the calculations, analysis of output and explanations of results to senior management
Be involved in technology initiatives to automate the submissions including ideation, UAT testing and implementation. Enhancing controls and streamlining processes, introducing automation where possible
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
Bachelor's/Master's degree in Accounting, Finance or a subject of a technical nature
10+ years of work experience, preferably in Financial Services, and/or accounting/controller background.
Knowledge of Corporate and Investment Bank businesses and their behavior across economic scenarios
Quantitative and Statistical skills and experience with Financial Projections modelling
Advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint
Inquisitive, enthusiastic and diligent, and capable of challenging peers
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex issues clearly
