The Opportunity:
An exciting opportunity has become available for a Financial Analyst to join our Finance team in Sydney. Working closely with the Commercial Finance Manager and wider firm, this role offers exposure to meaningful financial analysis, commercial insights and reporting that directly supports decision‑making across the business. You’ll be part of a collaborative, high‑performing team with genuine opportunities to grow your skills across planning, forecasting and longer‑term commercial analysis.
What you'll do:
Play a key role in delivering insightful financial analysis and reporting that supports commercial outcomes across the firm
Conduct financial analysis to support commercial decision‑making, including profitability, pricing and financial modelling
Analyse financial and operational data to identify trends, opportunities and risks across revenue, utilisation, FTE and lock‑up
Prepare monthly and ad hoc financial reports and dashboards, including client‑related reporting using Power BI
Collect, analyse and interpret data from multiple sources, ensuring accuracy and integrity of reporting
Develop and maintain Excel models and analytical tools to support reporting and commercial insights
Collaborate with stakeholders across the firm, including People + Culture and Business Development, to deliver data‑driven insights
Identify opportunities for process and system improvements within the Finance function
Support budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis activities as required
Gain exposure to longer‑term planning and broader commercial analysis initiatives
What you’ll bring:
A degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or a related discipline
1–2 years’ experience in a similar financial or commercial analyst role
Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail
Advanced Excel skills, including financial modelling and analysis
The ability to interpret data and translate insights into clear, meaningful outputs
Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with stakeholders
Exposure to Power BI or other data visualisation tools (preferred but not essential)
Experience within a professional services environment (highly regarded)
