In addition to collaborating with the team to make a better company, this person will be asked to provide timely and accurate performance of financial analyst and accounting functions including budgeting, variance analysis, financial statement preparation, financial forecasting, bank and loan reconciliations, and, as needed, occasional accounts payable support. Based on experience, responsibility for these functions may be phased over time.
The following gives an overview of some of the possible requirements of the job depending on ability and accounting knowledge.
• Creates and analyzes budgets and variances to actual spend.
• Prepares financial statements and forecasts.
• Records purchase, sale and loan transactions.
• Reconciles and corrects processed work by verifying entries, job costing and comparing system reports to balances from banks and vendors.
• Provides support for accounts payable and/or payroll functions as needed.
• Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.
• Accomplishes accounting and organization mission by completing any other related tasks as needed.
We prefer the following technical skills:
• Strong Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Ability to become proficient in QuickBooks, Propertyware, or comparable accounting software package; knowledge of multiple enterprise level accounting software packages is a plus
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, and Outlook
Preferred education and experience:
• Two (2) years of finance or accounting experience or education.
• Journal Entry and Balance Sheet knowledge.
• No CPA Required
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
