Job Description
We are seeking a highly qualified Financial Audit Specialist to join our team at the City of New Orleans, LA. As a Financial Audit Specialist, you will be responsible for performing financial and operational audits of municipal agencies, as well as verifying compliance with financial regulations and laws.
To be successful in this role, you will need a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university and at least 15 semester hours of accounting and + additional hours in any combination of economics, accounting, management, or another business-related course.
Your responsibilities will include:
Conducting financial and operational audits
Identifying areas for improvement and providing recommendations for changes
Working closely with our audit team to ensure that our financial statements are accurate and reliable
