Introduction :
This role is responsible for regulatory reporting of financial information to the SEBI for the Subsidaries in India. This role requires an individual to correctly interpret regulatory guidelines and ensure that entities are compliant with all guidelines when reporting financial information to the regulator.
This role also requires appropriate oversight on the team managing the reporting to ensure all submissions are managed on a timely basis.
In addition this role would require face off with the regulator as and when queries are raised or inspection is conducted
What will you be doing
Financial Reporting - 70%
• Performing the role of the legal entity controller (LEC)
• To be able to perform closure of books of accounts including preparation of the Balance Sheet and Profit and Loss Account
• Review and challenge of the data and supplementary analysis submitted by different teams
• Liaison with external statutory and regulatory, concurrent and internal auditors to ensure clean and seamless audits
• Oversight and ownership of the risk and controls framework for Financial Control function including documentation of these controls and monitoring and review to ensure the controls are operating effectively
• Responding to ad-hoc information requests from SEBI / RBI / other regulators and senior management
• Review and analyse the impact of new regulations on various reporting requirements
• Review the rollout of new products with reference to impact on financial / regulatory reporting
