Job Description
As the Finance Controller for the GCoE practice at Zinnov, you will be closely working with the Management Team for practice development, strategic planning, project delivery and set up of Global centers of excellence (GCoE) and engineering transformation initiatives for our customers who span across domains such as technology, healthcare, Aerospace, Automotive, Manufacturing, Telecom, Semiconductor.
You will be responsible for planning, execution, working alongside partners and project management of all finance, accounting, statutory and management reporting, and tax activities of the customer centers in India.
The position will own and lead all day-to-day finance operations, supervise vendor partners, and supervise a team of staff members. It will hold functional responsibility over accounting, payroll, statutory compliances, tax and support in statutory audits.
The candidate will work closely with the Project Leads and other team members, not only to educate them regarding finance and accounting procedures, but also to explore how the finance function can be seamless for the customers. The candidate will also liaison with leaders in Finance at Customer side (CFO’s, Financial Controllers, etc.)
Primary Responsibilities:
The Finance Controller will interact with legal counsel, insurance, tax consultants, auditors, payroll providers, banks and work alongside internal teams to effectively control the assets of the business and provide ongoing business support to deliver the following responsibilities for GCoE customers:
• Accurate and timely monthly financial close including accounting, tax, and government compliance for GCoE customers
• Overseeing all entity incorporation, bank relationships, accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems ensuring compliance with appropriate standards and regulatory requirements
• Ensuring Smooth payroll process and employee reimbursements
• Compliances – GST, PF, PT, Return filings, Labour Law Compliances, and Secretarial Compliances
• Corporate Advance Tax and Returns
• Treasury management, and cash flow management
• Support Transfer pricing study, benchmarking, and certificate activities
• Coordination of all Audit Activities
• Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and India GAAP
• Proactively monitor and operate a robust internal control environment in compliance
• Responsible for all tax and legal compliance and reporting for the entity
• Manage internal and external audits when they occur
• Support on adhoc requests of clients with respect to F&A activities including tax planning and support for employees
• Preparing of financial modeller, project analysis for prospective clients
• All other duties as assigned
Must have skillsets and personal attribute:
• Minimum 14 years of relevant work experience
• Chartered Accountant (CA) certification
