We are a North Vancouver–based marine services and subsea construction company specializing in complex underwater infrastructure projects across Canada and internationally. Our operations include subsea cable installation, diving operations, vessel mobilizations, and offshore support.
Our team works closely across operations, engineering, and finance to deliver challenging marine projects safely and efficiently. As our company continues to grow, we are looking for a strong financial professional to take ownership of our accounting function and help support the next stage of our growth.
The Opportunity
We are seeking a Financial Controller (CPA) to manage and oversee the company’s accounting and financial operations. This is a key role within the organization, working directly with senior leadership to ensure accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and effective financial planning.
This position is ideal for a hands-on CPA who enjoys working in a dynamic operational environment and wants to play an active role in supporting a growing marine company.
This is a full-time, permanent position based in our North Vancouver office.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the company’s day-to-day accounting operations including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
Ensure financial records are accurate and compliant with applicable regulations and accounting standards
Perform account analysis and resolve discrepancies where required
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities
Prepare and monitor cash flow projections
Complete and file statutory reporting including GST returns, T4s, and ROEs
Support internal financial controls and process improvements
Work closely with the Vice President of Finance and leadership team to provide financial insight and support strategic decision-making
Qualifications
CPA designation required
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
5+ years of progressive accounting experience
Strong knowledge of full-cycle accounting and financial reporting
Experience with QuickBooks (or similar accounting systems)
Experience in project-based, marine, construction, engineering, or industrial environments is an asset
Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Ability to work independently while collaborating with a small, fast-moving team
Must be based in BC and able to work on-site in North Vancouver
Compensation & Benefits
Salary range: $90,000 – $130,000 per year, depending on experience
