Job Description
Corporate Sector Controllers (CSEC) function is part of the Firm wide Controllers organization and is responsible for financial and operational accounting activities, internal controls and financial reporting for Corporate Functions (excluding Treasury, CIO and Private Equity), as well as centrally managed Firmwide accounting activities. Primary focus areas are accounting and operational support services for Global Real Estate, Human Resources, Global Technology, Legal and Corporate Responsibility. Additional operational responsibilities include Legal Entity Controllership, Regulatory Reporting, Controls, Real Estate Construction Accounting and Telecommunications (Data & Voice) Invoice & Contract Management.
Job Responsibilities :
Primary responsibilities may include Journal entry posting for expenses and balance sheet, payment processing, cash management, booking Accruals, GL fixed asset maintenance, and balance sheet account reconciliation, General ledger reconciliation and substantiation, compliance with relevant laws and regulations, preparing and maintaining important financial reports. The role may also involve:
Interaction with key stakeholders: Corporate LOB functional teams, Finance, Legal Entity Controllers, Tax, External vendors/business partners, internal/external audit groups, and others
Foreign Exchange processing and reporting
Detailed understanding and documentation of all activities
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Bachelor's or Master's degree in tax, accounting, finance
1-3 years of relevant experience required in GL accounting/finance-related areas, with demonstrated career progression, preferably
Thorough knowledge of Core Accounting procedures and principles is a must
Excellent desktop/spreadsheet/database skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong analytical and financial skills, structured mindset with process/continuous improvement orientation
Creative self-starter with strong initiative, ability to take ownership and work independently as well as contribute to the broader team globally
Able to multi-task in a constantly changing environment
