Financial Literacy Teacher
Location: Mumbai
Duration: November 2026 – January 2026 (3–4 months)

Role Overview
At Ratna Nidhi, we believe that financial knowledge is not just a subject—it’s a life skill. We are launching a large-scale Financial Literacy Programme to empower 8,000+ secondary school students from low-income schools in Mumbai.
We’ve developed a colourful, engaging 224-page curriculum with activity books and Q&A guides in simple English, specially designed to make financial concepts relatable for children. Now, we are seeking passionate Financial Literacy Teachers who can bring this content alive in classrooms.
Responsibilities
• Teach financial literacy to secondary school students using our structured, activity-based curriculum.
• Simplify concepts like savings, budgeting, insurance, and responsible money management into fun, relatable lessons.
• Encourage interaction through activities, discussions, and question–answer sessions.
• Inspire and mentor students, especially those from underserved backgrounds, to see financial knowledge as a tool for their future.
• Provide regular feedback and progress updates to programme managers.
• Adapt teaching style with empathy and patience to suit diverse student mindsets.
Skills & Qualifications
• Retired or experienced teachers/professors in Banking, Finance, or Commerce are especially encouraged to apply.
• Strong communication skills in English & Marathi with the ability to connect with young students.
• Teaching experience in classrooms or training environments preferred.
• Deep empathy for children from low-income schools and the ability to inspire them.
• Passion for education and willingness to commit 3–4 months (Nov–Jan).

1. Mobility Aids: Over the past 20 years, we have reached more than 2.80 lakh patients, providing mobility aids such as the award-winning Ratna Nidhi Leg. Each device represents not just movement, but dignity restored and a future reimagined.
2. Food for Education: Every day, from our own kitchen in Mumbai, we serve 2,500 freshly cooked meals to children across 28 low-income schools. For these children, a wholesome meal means not only nutrition but also the motivation to stay in school and learn.
3. Mission Million Books: We have distributed over 1 million educational books to more than 5,000 schools and colleges across India. Alongside books, we are training school children in financial literacy, insurance, and climate change—ensuring education is not only about academics, but also about life skills.
4. Vision 1 Million: In collaboration with EssilorLuxottica Vision Foundation, we manufacture and donate high-quality prescription eyeglasses. Already, half a million students have been screened, and we are committed to reaching 1 million more over the next 3 years. Each pair of spectacles opens the door to clearer learning and brighter dreams.
5. Education & Training for Life Skills: Ratna Nidhi now leads a pioneering programme to educate school children on financial literacy, insurance, and climate change. Using our colourful, child-friendly training manuals in storybook form, we make complex concepts easy to grasp. These beautifully illustrated resources, combined with interactive teaching, nurture informed, confident, and responsible young citizens prepared for the challenges of tomorrow.
Together, these five verticals represent not just projects, but a movement of compassion, innovation, and empowerment—transforming lives at scale.
