Role Description
As a Financial Planning and Analysis Analyst with expertise in Power BI and Excel with Power Query, you will play a crucial role in Tonik Bank finance team. You will be responsible for leveraging data visualization tools and advanced Excel functions to analyse financial data, generate insights, and support data-driven decision-making processes. Your work will contribute to the bank's financial planning, forecasting, and performance evaluation.
Responsibilities
• Data Analysis and Visualization: Utilize Power BI to create interactive and visually appealing reports and dashboards. Develop and maintain a library of financial reports for various stakeholders. Collaborate with different departments to understand their reporting needs and provide customized data visualizations.
• Data Extraction and Transformation: Use Excel with Power Query to extract data from various sources, including databases and spreadsheets. Clean and transform data to ensure accuracy and consistency. Automate data extraction and transformation processes to increase efficiency.
• Financial Modelling and Forecasting: Build and maintain financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and scenario analysis. Perform sensitivity analysis and "what-if" scenarios to assess the impact of different variables on financial outcomes.
• Performance Analysis: Analyse key financial and operational metrics to evaluate the bank's performance. Identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement. Prepare regular reports and presentations for management and stakeholders.
• Data Integration: Integrate data from various systems and sources into a centralized data repository. Ensure data consistency and accuracy by validating and reconciling data sources.
• Compliance and Regulatory Reporting: Assist in the preparation of regulatory reports, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. Support internal and external audits by providing accurate and timely financial data.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and new tools related to data analysis and visualization. Suggest and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of financial analysis and reporting.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s/ Master’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• 5 to 7 years of work experience in a financial services/ banking or related domain
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel with Power Query and Power BI.
• Solid understanding of financial concepts and financial modelling.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
