Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Financial Services Clerk to join our team at Ada County's Billing Services Office. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and has excellent communication skills.

As a Financial Services Clerk, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of clerical tasks related to the financial status of the department. This includes explaining trash service standards and requirements to customers, maintaining customer accounts, and supervising the receipt of funds. You will also work closely with other team members to ensure accurate and timely processing of payments and accounts.

The ideal candidate will have experience as an account clerk or related position, with a strong background in business math, English grammar, spelling, and punctuation. They will also possess good knowledge of office terminology, procedures, routines, and equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Receives, calculates, and handles money from various sources

• Posts and balances revenue items and cash receipts to individual customer accounts and registers

• Supervises and/or performs accounting and receipting of funds from billing payments and makes deposits to Treasurer's Office

• Acts as front-facing contact for public, responding to account and billing inquiries and adjustments, requests for service, and other issues related to residential/commercial trash service
