Finish Carpenter

Penfor Construction offers “turn-key” General Contracting for the construction of multi-family commercial and agricultural facilities. Our team will design, estimate and oversee complete construction, ensuring that the project is completed on time and on budget.

We are currently looking for full-time Finish Carpenters to join our team. These positions are based out of Winnipeg, MB.

Duties include:

Perform finish and trim carpentry work according to plans and specifications

Measure, cut, and install millwork for interior doors, windows, casings, baseboards, etc.

Install interior doors, door hardware, fixtures

Ensure all work is completed in compliance with relevant safety regulations and company policies

Maintain a clean and organized work area

Other duties as required

Skills Required:

Minimum 2 years’ experience preferred, willing to train

Ability to stand and be on your feet for 8+ hour shifts

Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs

Ability to climb ladders and/or scaffoldings

Keen attention to detail and ability to adhere to high standards

Listens attentively and follows instructions carefully

Extensive experience with use of power and hand tools such as miter saws, compressors, nailers, skills saws, etc.

Possess a valid class 5 driver’s license

Dependable; able to work independently and as a team player
