Position Overview The Finish Carpenter performs high-quality trim, millwork, cabinetry, and interior finish installations. This role requires precision, craftsmanship, and the ability to complete detailed work that defines the final look of each project.
Key Responsibilities
Install trim, casing, crown molding, baseboards, and other finish components
Install cabinetry, built-ins, vanities, shelving, and hardware
Measure, cut, and shape materials with accuracy and minimal waste
Ensure finish work aligns with project plans and design specifications
Prep, sand, and repair surfaces for final painting or staining
Maintain a clean, organized workspace and follow safety protocols
Collaborate with supervisors and other trades for smooth workflow
Qualifications
3+ years finish carpentry experience
Strong precision and craftsmanship in fine-detail installations
Proficiency with finish carpentry tools and equipment
Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines
Must live in Chicago and have reliable transportation to job sites
