Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Finisher to join our construction and manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for completing projects with precision, ensuring high-quality finishes across various building and manufacturing tasks. This role offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects, utilizing a wide range of skills including carpentry, masonry, and finishing techniques. Candidates should have a strong understanding of construction processes and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Apply finishing touches to construction projects, including sanding, painting, caulking, and sealing surfaces
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate completion of tasks
Perform concrete forming, rebar installation, tile laying, flooring installation, siding, and roofing as required
Operate hand tools, power tools, CNC machines, and other equipment safely and effectively
Assist with cabinet installation, woodworking, and cabinetry finishing tasks
Conduct restoration work on existing structures to improve appearance and durability
Measure materials accurately using construction estimating techniques
Execute masonry work including bricklaying and concrete finishing
Install plumbing and electrical components when necessary or assist licensed professionals
Perform heavy lifting and physical tasks associated with construction finishing projects
Maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure safety and efficiency
Qualifications
Proven experience in construction finishing or related trades such as carpentry, masonry, or woodworking
Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings with confidence
Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, CNC machines, and other relevant equipment
Knowledge of various construction disciplines including roofing, siding, tiling, flooring installation, and caulking
Strong understanding of safety procedures related to heavy lifting and the use of power tools
Experience with restoration projects or handyman work is a plus
Ability to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks consistently
Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship
Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
