Cosgroves, now Stantec NZ buildings team provides professional consulting engineering services to the construction industry specialising in fire, mechanical, hydraulics, civil, electrical, and sustainable engineering.
We are seeking a Fire Protection Engineering Technician to assist our Fire Engineering and Fire Protection Systems Team in our Auckland and Christchurch offices. This could be a candidate with 1 – 2 years’ industry experience or someone starting their career in design and engineering.This is an opportunity to be part of a growing team undertaking fire engineering and fire protection systems work for a wide variety of local and New Zealand projects. We also offer some great benefits like health insurance, birthday leave and an active social environment.
To succeed in this role, ideally you have the following, noting that supplementary training would be provided:
Knowledge of building design and construction processes
Knowledge of and some experience of building design and modelling programs such asRevit and AutoCAD
Effective communication skills including technical report writing and verbal communication
Capable of using a computer for Microsoft Office Suite applications, and cloud-based document management systems [BC1]
An Engineering Diploma and/or training in Revit and AutoCAD
Ideally at least 1 year industry experience, NZ based and are a team player and self-starter
