Join Our Team – Fire Safety Technicians Wanted!
Grease Cleaners Pty Ltd is NSW’s leading commercial kitchen exhaust cleaning and fire safety service provider. We service Clubs, Hotels, Hospitals, Shopping Centers, Universities, Airports, Office Buildings, and Restaurants across the state.
We’re looking for reliable, hardworking people to join our growing team as a Full-Time Fire Safety Technician.
The role includes:
Inspecting, testing, cleaning, and maintaining fire protection equipment and systems in commercial premises in accordance with relevant Australian Standards, including AS 1851–2012
Inspecting and servicing commercial kitchen exhaust and ventilation systems to remove combustible grease deposits and reduce fire hazards
Identifying fire safety hazards, equipment faults, and non-compliant installations, and recommending corrective actions
Conducting routine preventive maintenance on fire protection systems to ensure operational readiness and compliance
Testing the performance and functionality of fire safety systems and associated equipment
Recording inspection findings and completing service reports, compliance documentation, and certification records
Applying service tags, labels, and compliance notices to fire protection equipment following inspection and servicing
Using specialised tools and equipment to access, clean, and maintain ductwork, exhaust systems, and associated fire safety components
Ensuring all maintenance activities comply with workplace safety procedures and regulatory fire safety requirements
Liaising with clients and site representatives regarding inspection schedules, maintenance requirements, and compliance outcomes
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Monday–Friday night availability (with starts from 3pm onwards).
Availability to service all areas of Greater Wollongong & Far South Coast.
Willingness to travel throughout NSW and occasionally interstate (all expenses covered).
Understanding that the role is primarily night shift, with occasional afternoon starts (3pm) and rare day shifts.
Minimum Red Provisional license (P1) required.
Willingness to learn to drive a manual vehicle.
Physical fitness and comfort working in confined spaces.
Reliable, honest, and motivated — this is an absolute must.
Driven & self-motivated, with the ability to problem solve and willingness to learn, develop & improve.
Prepared for honest, physically demanding night work.
Willingness to learn and work in compliance with AS 1851–2012 fire safety maintenance requirements.
