Reports to: Workshop / Site Supervisor
Amity Resources Pty Ltd is seeking qualified Welders (First Class) to work under an on-hire arrangement with third-party host employers across Western Australia
Responsibilities
Perform welding and fabrication using MIG, TIG, flux-core, and stick welding processes.
Fabricate, assemble, and repair structural steel, frames, and heavy components.
Read and interpret technical drawings, welding symbols, and fabrication blueprints.
Cut, shape, and prepare metal using grinders, cutting torches, and plasma cutters.
Set up, calibrate, and operate welding machines.
Conduct inspections and tests to ensure weld quality meets AS/NZS 1554 and company standards.
Maintain welding equipment and tools in safe working order.
Follow strict OHS practices when working in workshop and on-site environments.
Requirements
Only applicants with full Australian work rights will be considered.
Trade qualification in Welding/Metal Fabrication or equivalent experience.
At least 3–5 years’ welding/fabrication experience in heavy industry, mining, or construction.
Strong ability to interpret engineering drawings and weld symbols.
Proficiency in welding a variety of materials including mild steel, stainless steel, and alloys.
Ability to pass weld tests and meet QA/QC standards.
Strong safety focus and physical fitness.
Salary & Conditions
Base salary: AUD 92,000 per annum + Super
Full-time role with potential overtime and shift work
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Subcontract
Pay: $92,000.00 per year
