JOB SUMMARY
Reporting to the Executive Chef, this hands-on culinary role supports the kitchen team in preparing high-quality meals and maintaining a smooth, efficient operation. Responsibilities include assisting with food preparation and plating, ensuring kitchen cleanliness and organization, monitoring food safety standards, and helping with inventory management. RESPONSIBILITIES
Basic food preparation and cooking to order.
Prepping ingredients, sauces, and garnishes according to recipes and standards.
Maintain a positive and collaborative team environment.
Monitor food quality, presentation, and portion control.
Adhere to safety, cleanliness, and sanitation standards.
Maintain personal and professional cleanliness, appearance, and hygiene.
Collaborate with sous chefs and executive chef to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
Other duties as assigned by the Executive Chef or Sous Chef.
QUALIFICATIONS
Proficiency in the English language.
Two years’ experience cooking and preparing food (asset).
Red Seal Certification (strong asset).
Highly organized, flexible, and able to work well under pressure.
High attention to detail; honest and reliable.
Ability to take direction and embrace feedback.
