Job Description
Key Responsibilities
Set out and construct wall frames, floors, and roof structures
Install light steel framing systems
Fix structural components including joists, trusses, and beams
Install subfloors, bracing, and structural supports
Read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings
Ensure all work complies with plans, specifications, and Australian Standards
Coordinate with steel fixers, concreters, and other trades
Maintain a safe and tidy work environment in line with WHS requirements
Skills & Experience Required
Proven experience as a First Fix Carpenter in residential construction
Strong knowledge of timber and/or light gauge steel framing
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings
High attention to detail and accuracy
White Card (mandatory)
Trade qualification in Carpentry (preferred)
Own tools and reliable transport (preferred)
Ability to work independently and in a team
