The individual selected for this position will be part of the OPICS Application Development team in APAC. He or she will be a key member of the newly formed team in Bangalore. This individual will have the responsibilities in setting the visions of the application together with the global team and takes part in modernizing our end-to-end software. In addition, he or she will be developing features and provide day-to-day support to the business and its front-to-back offices all over the world in production environments. OPICS: The OPICS application suite is comprised of trade capture, pricing, profit and loss, reference data, market data, accounting, settlements, corporate reporting and position management. The system serves as the backbone for a wide range of complex fixed income and derivative instruments and trading strategies including money market instruments, repurchase agreements, mortgage-backed and asset-backed securities, government, municipal and corporate bonds, exchange traded futures and options, and OTC bond options. Required Skills Understanding of application, data and infrastructure architecture disciplines. Working proficiency in developmental toolsets. Knowledge of industry wide technology trends and best practices. Experience in building real time processing systems. Proficiency in one or more modern programming languages / frameworks Java/ J2EE Springboot / Spring RDBMS (Sybase/SQL Server) / Mongo Unix / Shell / Perl / Python scripting Understanding Business Requirements and Functional Specifications Understanding existing program logic (Stored Procedures, Java) Experience in working in Eclipse/IntelliJ / Maven environments. Expertise in Core Java, TDD, BDD, spring framework, Messaging, SQL, Unix shell scripts. Hand's on experience in fine tuning application response / performance testing. Experience of MQ / JMS (message transfer process), Kafka. Experience using version control tool bitbucket. Understanding of banking risk and compliance policies. Pluses Experience in Settlement and Clearing applications. Familiarity with SWIFT (Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunication) Message formats. General Accounting/Settlement Knowledge Knowledge around Money Market and Fixed Income Instruments Prior experience with Treasury systems / OPICS Application
