Job description
FIXED TERM TEACHER OF PE
MPS/UPS/ Experienced UNQ Teachers will also be considered
Required for asap start until Christmas 2025
We are seeking to appoint a skilled teacher of PE, with the ability to teach Core PE throughout the school as well as examination courses at GCSE and A-Level. We welcome applications from Early Careers Teachers and we offer a fully supported induction programme, including regular subject specific mentoring & whole school professional development. The successful candidate will be a well-qualified and dynamic teacher, committed to raising students’ skills and willing to take an active part in the Faculty’s thriving extra-curricular programme.
PE is taught to all students throughout Key Stage 3; students have a 1 hour 40 minute lesson and a 50 minute lesson each week. At Key Stage 4, as well as Core PE which is taught to all students, GCSE PE is a very well subscribed option. The subject is also popular in the Sixth Form and several students go on to study PE or health-related courses at higher education each year. Examination outcomes at both GCSE and A-level are strong.
We are looking for either a qualified or unqualified teacher of PE to join and support our large, supportive and vibrant PE team on a fixed term basis until Christmas 2025.
Closing date for receipt of applications: Monday 13th October 2025
Interviews will be held on: Wednesday 15th October 2025
