About the role:
We are seeking a Maintenance Controller to join our Fleet Operations team. In this phone-based role, you’ll manage maintenance programs for our fleet customers, ensuring safety, cost control and excellent customer service. You’ll authorise and oversee repairs, liaise with suppliers and stakeholders, and apply your technical expertise to keep vehicles on the road and performing at their best.
This role is a great opportunity for a qualified mechanic wanting to move off the tools and out of the workshop into an office-based role, using your trade knowledge in a customer-focused environment.
Some of your key responsibilities in this role will include (but not limited to):
Product Diagnostics in collaboration with suppliers
Authorise and manage repairs to get vehicles back on the road quickly and cost-effectively
Provide expertise as a Maintenance SME for Commercial vehicles
Maintain good relationships and communicate with key Account Managers
Reconciliation of issued work authorities
Ensure accurate maintenance coding in the ERP system
About you:
Bring your mechanical know-how and analytical skills to an office-based role where no two days are the same! We are looking for someone who has the following experience and qualifications:
Trade qualified in motor mechanics (or similar)
Moderate to advanced computer skills specifically in excel
Ability to build rapport and manage stakeholder relationships
Medium to heavy commercial experience highly desirable
