Program Operations - Fleet Maintenance
Position Type: Permanent Full-Time/Part-Time Pay Rate: $18-24.00
Reports to: Maintenance Manager
Maintenance staff are responsible for the maintenance and repair of Community
Boating’s watercraft. This includes preemptive maintenance along with in season repairs due to
wear and tear of regular operations. At times this may include emergency repairs as deemed necessary. This position will support the operations of Community Boating’s sailing programs by maintaining the fleet.
Candidates must be able to:
• Complete work to an acceptable standard as directed by the manager
• Use power tools and hand tools to repair sailboats and motorboats
• Understand and uphold appropriate safety standards
• Effectively communicate with other staff members within the department and across departments
• Lift up to 50 pounds
Duties include:
• Diagnosing, repairing, and cleaning sailboats and motorboats
• Adjusting sailboat rigging
• Fiberglass repairs
• Sanding, painting, and other cosmetic upgrades to the fleet and facility
• Fueling gas tanks
• Day to day and long term projects
• Other duties as assigned by the manager
Preferred skills and certifications:
• Experience with engines
• Hoisting engineer license
• Safe boating certificate
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $24.50 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
