Main Responsibilities:
• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain our fleet equipment, including tractors, trailers, refrigeration units, and related vehicles.
• Ensure compliance with all State and Federal trucking regulations.
• Document repairs and maintain logs for all parts and service conducted.
• Be prepared to perform road rescue as needed.
• Diagnose, rebuild, and replace components on diesel equipment.
What You Bring:
• At least 3 years of hands-on experience as a heavy-duty commercial diesel mechanic or a combination of diesel and reefer mechanic experience; or 2 years with relevant Diesel Mechanic Certification.
• Preferred valid Class-A CDL license and DOT certification.
Skills Required:
• Provide your personal hand tools.
• Comply with EPA and OSHA regulations in the shop and on the fleet.
• Read and understand technical and service manuals.
• Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
• Excellent communication skills for effective teamwork.
• Manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.

The range for compensation will depend on relevant experience, education, specific skills, and geographic location. In Alabama, the expected compensation for this role is $25-$30 per hour. Overtime compensation is also provided.
