About Our Opportunity

Under the direct supervision of the Printing Department Manager, the Flexo Plate Technician is responsible for producing high-quality flexographic printing plates using thermal imaging technology. This role is crucial for ensuring that all printing processes meet industry standards and client specifications.


TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Others may be assigned. Nothing in this job description restricts management’s right to assign or reassign tasks/responsibilities to this job at any time.


Operates and maintains equipment to produce flexographic printing plates.
Collaborates with the production team to understand project specifications and timelines.
Ensures quality control throughout the plate-making process, adhering to industry standards.
Troubleshoots flexographic printing issues with print operators.
Performs routine maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Troubleshoots and resolves issues with equipment and flexo printing plates.
Keeps accurate records of production runs and material usage.
Understands flexographic printing process and the use of different substrates.
Performs other related duties as required and assigned.

Analytical skills with a methodological approach to problem solving and implementation.

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret related documents.
Detail-oriented, able to multitask (coordinating several projects at one time), and able to work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment. Must be a team player willing to help others when needed.
Excellent follow-up and organizational skills.
Able to work independently with little direction.

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE


High School Diploma, Technical School Degree, or GED required; Associate’s Degree or Bachelors Degree preferred.
One year of related experience in a distribution/manufacturing environment required; two years or more preferred.
Any equivalent combination of education, experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is continuously required to stand, walk, use repetitive hand motions, and reach overhead.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, and lift up to 50 pounds.
While performing the duties of this job, the associate may be required to spend time on the warehouse floor, which is not temperature controlled.
