Position Title: Flight Instructor, Flight simulator (Entertainment)
Location: Calgary, Alberta, Canada
Pay: $15/hr + OT

Altitude flight Simulation is an entertainment flight simulation center in Calgary. We give customers the opportunity to experience the job of an airliner pilot and the thrill of a jet fighter pilot. We have Boeing-737, CF-18 jet fighter, and VR Spitfire. We provide services to individuals, group events and corporate events. Our mission is to provide a unique and special simulation experience and offer a full immersion that gets as close as possible to reality.

Position Summary:
The flight simulator instructor is tasked with providing guidance and instruction to the customer on how to operate and fly the simulator to insure best customer experience is achieved. Will start on the F-18 and Spitfire and move later to 737 if capable. He/She is also responsible on insuring that all simulators are in good condition and ready for next customer. When not engaged with guests it is expected to take care of guest’s phone inquiries and bookings.
Position responsibility:
Must maintain full knowledge about the unique features and Standard Operating Procedures of all simulators.
Training and briefing guests before using the simulator.
Maintain positive attitude.
Consistently demonstrate Friendly, Responsible and Enthusiastic behaviors as part of our customers’ service culture.
Ensure the overall safety of guests on the simulator and co-workers in the simulation area.
This is an entry level position and we will train individuals on the simulators
Perform all other duties as assigned.
Checking in customers, answering phone or email inquiries and bookings, stocking merchandise.
Ability to work with children, adults & seniors
Cleaning the simulators
Position requirements:
At least 18 years of age
Retired pilots, pilot students & flight simulation gaming enthusiast. Real or gaming experience with B-737 and CF-18 is a plus
Minimum of High school diploma or equivalent
This position is part time
Very Good knowledge in computers/gaming and troubleshooting
Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
Working days/hours are based on agreed schedule sent on monthly basis
Reliable attendance and punctual
Willing and capable of learning how to operate the simulator
Best-suited match for the position:
People with real flying or flight simulation gaming experience, retired pilots and flight students who has experience with B-737 or F/A-18.
