Description
1. Evaluate, recommend & implement effective maintenance practices/ systems.
2. To monitor maintenance cost in line with department s maintenance budget and take steps to control them. To make the maintenance services effective for making the job productive and customer delight.
3. To maximize productivity of man, machine and methods.
4. Implementing schemes of GCI & GCF effectively within.
5. To improve the skill level among the technicians for improving the quality of job done and job satisfaction.
6. Ensure safety standards are adhered to maintain safe &conducive work environment in the plant. Based on NDT reports investigate problems and eliminate the root causes with help of problem solving tools.
7. To implement the preventive maintenance as per schedule. Check and appraise the preventive maintenance checklist for all the equipments. Ensure that the performance parameter is attained after the completion of the maintenance work. Monitor the consumption of high value consumable items to control them.
8. Scan the environment and identify possible improvements in machine, material, method and technology. To carry out the life cycle cost (LCC) analysis for the spares and equipments and ensure its timely replacement and optimum utilization. To co-ordinate the contractual jobs effectively so as to ensure timely completion. Develop new vendors for OEM spares at a low cost without compromising on quality. Critical spares identification & consumption control. To plan for the spares and inventory by considering the lead-time of procurement so as to have minimum inventory level.
9. To reduce MTTR & increase MTBF. To issue warranty cards after overhauling of the equipments. To check & inspect the incoming materials at stores for quality as per the specifications given in the indent and clear the GRN. To keep standby equipments 100% available. To plan jobs allocation and resources to ensure its timely completion for optimum utilization of resources. Plan deployment of tools and tackles for maximizing its use.
