• Oversee the daily operations of the ICU, ensuring that all nursing staff deliver high-quality care to critically ill patients.
• Lead, supervise, and mentor ICU nursing staff, ensuring proper staffing levels and allocation of duties.
• Develop and enforce nursing care protocols, ensuring compliance with hospital policies, healthcare standards, and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with doctors, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to create and implement treatment plans for critically ill patients.
• Monitor and assess patient progress, ensuring timely interventions and updating patient records accurately.
• Provide guidance and support to nursing staff in handling complex medical procedures, patient care, and emergency situations.
• Ensure proper management of ICU equipment, medications, and supplies, overseeing regular maintenance and inventory checks.
• Conduct regular staff training, performance evaluations, and in-service programs to enhance nursing knowledge and skills.
• Address and resolve any patient or family concerns related to care, maintaining a compassionate and supportive environment.
