Job Description
We are looking for an experienced food and beverage manager to lead our venue, Auckland Showgrounds.
You will ensure a high-quality food & beverage menu is delivered to our guests and motivate our staff to provide excellent customer service.
Your responsibilities include maintaining the venue's revenue, profitability and quality goals. You will ensure efficient venue operation, as well as maintain high production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards.
You will need to be able to successfully manage different outlets across the large venue from the inside food court to coffee outlets to food & beverage caravans. Bar services are also a regular operation onsite
We want someone who handles pressure well, is hands on and can jump into any situation whether that be making coffees, assisting in the kitchen or even cleaning (no job too big, no job too small)
To be successful in this role, you’ll need management skills and experience in both front and back of the house. We want you to know how to oversee the venue, check-in with customers, balance busy periods, and always be on the look out for ways to improve our service including researching new food & beverage ideas. Back of the house management experience is also essential, as you’ll be involved with managing and hiring qualified back of house staff, oversee food prep, stocktaking, cleanliness and make sure we comply with food, health and safety regulations.
You will need to meet with clients and work with our senior management team to successfully carry out all functions, events & shows that happen onsite
We’ll expect you to lead by example and uplift our staff during busy moments in our fast-paced environment. Ultimately, you will ensure our venue runs smoothly and customers have the best possible experience.
