Job Description
Position Overview: As a Production Operative, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our food products meet the highest quality standards. You’ll be responsible for operating machinery, completing compliance records, maintaining and cleaning production lines, and ensuring health and safety standards are met.
· Key Responsibilities:
· Operate and monitor production machinery including metal detectors to ensure efficient running.
· Ensure smooth running of the production line by identifying problems and correcting to ensure production targets are met with regards to volume and quality.
· To adjust machines in order to rectify errors with production of food.
· To report accurately any problems and complete paperwork where applicable.
· To ensure machines are running efficiently to ensure material efficiency and reduce waste.
· To carry out a Quality Assessment of product and determine if product meets specification.
· To carry out calculations to ensure exact weights & measures as per customer spec.
· Maintain a high level of housekeeping at all times, as required by BRCGS Standards.
· Follow all safety protocols and guidelines.
· Record production data and report any issues to the supervisor.
· Work effectively as a team member
· Contribute to continual improvement focused on both production efficiencies, Quality and Health and Safety.
