Job Description
As our WA Food Safety Expert, you will ultimately be responsible for the implementation & adherence of Civeo Australia’s food safety standards across our sites based in WA and SA.
Reporting to our National HSQE Manager, Food Safety and Quality, this role involves further assisting Civeo to maintain compliance with respective Food Safety legislation, HACCP, codes of practice, standards, and the adoption of good hygienic practices to minimise food safety risks, ensure customers’ expectations are met and establishing a strong food safety culture within the organisation.
Additional Responsibilities Includes.
Carry out audits, investigations & inspections
Advise on Food Safety outcomes & areas of innovation and improvement
Develop & implement corrective & preventive actions
Assist in the development & maintenance of procedures & work instructions.
Maintain Food Safety Managements systems
Support auditing programs incl. with 3rd parties
Report on the performance of the Food Safety management system
Promote & mentor good hygienic practices with food handlers and management
Maintain compliance to current Food Safety legislation
Regular site travel to ensure practices are maintained and adhered
Provide technical advice & support to food safety and quality projects
About You
A key element to this position is partnering with our site-based staff & wider HSQE Team. Whether you come from a safety background or, previously worked as a Chef & wish to pursue a career in safety, we’d like to hear from you. Other attributes include.
Bachelor's Degree in Food Science OR Certificate III in Hospitality (highly desired)
Prior supervising experience within the hospitality sector
Cert IV in Training & Assessment (highly desired)
A good understanding of HACCP, Quality ISO +001, Food Safety ISO 22000
Exceptional written & verbal communication skills
Ability to work autonomously and as part of the team
Ability to partner with all levels of stakeholders
