Are you passionate about food safety and ready to make a meaningful impact in remote village operations? Civeo is seeking a dedicated Food Safety Advisor to champion our Food Safety Program and drive excellence in compliance, assurance, and capability development.

About the Role

As our Food Safety Advisor, you’ll play a key role in implementing and continuously improving our Food Safety Management System. You’ll work closely with Village Operations to ensure compliance with legislation, standards, and customer expectations—ultimately safeguarding the health and wellbeing of our guests and staff.

5-2 roster - some travel will be required

Key Responsibilities

Deliver food safety and hygiene training to site teams

Support catering and site managers in applying food safety requirements

Promote awareness and escalate food safety issues across all levels

Monitor compliance to meet customer expectations

Provide expert advice on food safety matters

Develop and maintain food safety documentation and training materials

Conduct internal audits and support third-party inspections

Lead assurance activities and food safety investigations

Perform microbiological sampling and testing

Report on system performance and recommend improvements

Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency

Take on additional responsibilities aligned with the role’s scope and seniority

Qualifications & Experience

Tertiary qualification in Food Science, Microbiology, Environmental Health, or related field

Minimum 3 years’ experience in hospitality, food safety, or quality assurance

Strong knowledge of microbiology, food safety controls, and legislation

Experience with HACCP / ISO 22000 and internal audits

Skilled in training delivery

Desirable:

Internal Auditor certification

Skills & Attributes

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Strong facilitation and coaching abilities

Detail-oriented with solid time management

Proficient in Microsoft Office and adaptable to new systems

Professional presentation and ability to work independently
