Job Summary:
Sweeping Corp of America is seeking a mechanically inclined Day-time Laborer. This is a career entry level job that will support mechanical technicians by retrieving parts for repair, power washing Fleet Vehicles, and other duties as assigned. It will also involve Landscape Labor. This position will help care for commercial grounds to ensure high customer satisfaction. The Day-time Laborer will be responsible for operating all basic landscaping equipment such as a lawn mower, weed whacker and backpack blower. The Day-time Laborer position will also include Porter Services in which the Laborer will be cleaning up roadways and shopping centers of all debris and ensuring Property Manager satisfaction.

Job Location: 4400 E Washington Blvd, Commerce, CA +0023

Hours: Monday to Sunday from 10pm to 6am, hours may vary. May work up to about 50 hours a week.

Rate of Pay: $18 to $20 per hour

Job Responsibilities:
• Prioritize multiple parts pickup and deliveries.
• Ability to respond to emergency pickup and delivery.
• Pay attention to details and observe safety precautions.
• Prior delivery/driving experience
• Able to identify correct parts, based on part number and shelf location.
• Assist with inventory control.
• Help technicians, as necessary.
• Operate basic landscaping equipment such as a lawn mower, weed whacker and backpack blower.
• Complete assigned job(s) in the time allotted.
• Maintain quality of work.
• Track completed tasks and/or routes.
• Exercise extra caution during inclement weather.
• Report any equipment issues to the site leader within 8 hours.

Perform labor duties as required by team lead. Such as:
• Perform litter pick-up along highways.
• Perform cleaning and labor tasks to maintain various retail properties.
• Using a leaf blower to blow off sidewalks, changing trash bags, and walking around the property to check for issues.

• Mechanical aptitude and industry experience preferred.

• Occasional exposure to extreme temperatures.
• Perform landscape labor duties as required by team lead.
• May be exposed to solvents, chemicals, and refuse.
• May be exposed to other risks associated with working around machines, tools, and trucks - CDL related operation.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Driver's License and clean driving record.
• Working Outdoors Exposed to the weather elements.
• Ability to follow directions and read maps.
• Must pass and maintain drug-free status: employment and random drug tests.
• Ability to operate a pick-up truck safely truck to drive to different stops on a scheduled route.
• Perform landscape labor duties as required by team lead.
• Wear proper and required PPE.

• Monitors kitchen and cafeteria areas for the purpose of ensuring a safe working environment.
• Prepares daily food counts and associated reports for the purpose of providing documentation for items served.
• Prepares food and beverage items for the purpose of meeting mandated nutritional requirements and projected meal requirements.
• Reconciles transactions for the purpose of balancing accounts and adhering to established accounting practices.
• Responds to inquiries of students, staff and the public for the purpose of providing information and/or direction regarding the type and/or cost of meals.
• Serves one or more items of food for the purpose of meeting mandated nutritional requirements and/or requests of students and school personnel.
• Stocks food, condiments and supplies for the purpose of maintaining adequate quantities and security of items.

Working Environment
